Hand-Carved Afyon Marble Kurna
Bring the timeless character of Turkish hammam craftsmanship into your bathroom with this hand-carved Afyon marble kurna. Inspired by traditional Ottoman bath basins, this sculptural piece combines natural stone, artisanal craftsmanship and a distinctive architectural form.
Carved from genuine Afyon white marble, each kurna reveals its own natural combination of colour, veining, mineral movement and subtle tonal variation. The softly scalloped outer form adds an elegant decorative character while preserving the authentic appearance of a traditional Turkish bath basin.
Inspired by the Turkish Hammam
The kurna has been an essential element of traditional Turkish hammams for centuries. Reinterpreted for contemporary interiors, this marble basin can become a striking feature in private bathrooms, luxury villas, boutique hotels, spas and wellness spaces.
Its sculptural silhouette works beautifully with natural stone, warm metals, wood and understated architectural finishes, making it suitable for both traditional and modern bathroom concepts.
Natural Afyon Marble
Afyon marble is known for its refined appearance and naturally luminous surface. Rather than being produced from a uniform synthetic material, every piece carries the individual character of the stone from which it is carved.
Subtle grey markings, mineral details and differences in tone are part of the natural beauty of genuine marble and make every kurna visually unique.
Handcrafted Character
The shaped exterior gives this basin a distinctive handcrafted presence. Small variations in the stone and carving are natural characteristics of an artisan-made product and should be appreciated as part of its individuality.

1. What is a Turkish kurna?
A kurna is a traditional basin associated with Turkish hammams. This design has been reinterpreted as a distinctive natural stone piece for contemporary bathrooms, spas and wellness spaces.
2. Is this kurna made from real Afyon marble?
Yes. The product is designed using genuine natural Afyon white marble. Because marble is a natural stone, each piece can have different veining, mineral markings and tonal variations.

No two pieces of natural marble are identical. Your kurna may differ slightly from the photographs in colour, veining, mineral details and surface character. These variations are part of the natural beauty of the material.
4. How should I care for the marble?
Use a soft cloth and a mild cleaner specifically suitable for natural stone. Avoid acidic, abrasive or aggressive cleaning products. Depending on the installation and use, professional sealing and periodic maintenance may also be recommended.
5. Can this kurna be used in a luxury spa or hotel project?
Yes. Its traditional hammam-inspired appearance makes it suitable for private residences, villas, boutique hotels, spas and wellness projects. For commercial or project installations, we recommend confirming dimensions, installation requirements and shipping arrangements with us before ordering.
